According to the Waste Management and Minimization Compliance to Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations, 2005, “Every waste generator shall ensure that all his employees involved in the identification, handling, labelling, transportation, storage, and spillage or discharge response for scheduled wastes attend training programmes.”
This same requirement for training applies to all employees of waste contractors involved in the handling, transportation and storage of scheduled waste.
What you will learn

• basic understanding on storage and handling of scheduled wastes and its records keeping
• working knowledge on the Scheduled Waste Regulations 2005
• sound understanding on the importance of records keeping such as notification of scheduled waste (Second Schedule), inventory of scheduled wastes (Fifth Schedule), consignment notes for scheduled waste (Sixth Schedule), and the purpose and use of Seventh Schedule i.e. information of scheduled wastes practical knowledge of the e-Consignment Note.

ESH Trainer Profile
Yusof is an experienced and multi skilled trainer/consultant and Auditor in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Services. He holds a Diploma in Public Administration, Degree with Honors in Corporate Administration for UiTM and a Certificate in Safety and Health Office from MII. A competent Safety Officer registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia, he served more than 15 years n various management positions such as Purchaser, Factory Coordinator and Senior Logistics Manager with Multi-national corporations.
He was responsible in the development, implementation and maintenance of management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001) and acted as the management representative for these management systems.
Yusof is also a member of the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH) and actively involved in safety and health training, consultancy and assessment. He has conducted numerous safety, quality, environmental training, inspection and audit at various industries especially in plastics, electronics, chemicals, oil and gas, utilities, transportation, institutional of higher learning, government agencies and ministries.
Being a certified IRCA and IEMA Lead Assessor, he has conducted auditing and assessment of management systems. He is also actively involved in the Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award (Malaysian premier environmental award) as one of the assessors for the last 3 cycles. His expertise helps customers to improve their operations, Occupational Health & Safety (OH & S) and environmental performance, increase productivity and quality, as well as develop excellent customer-vendor system and relationship.
Yusof is also a motivator for teambuilding events and conducts various programs at various outdoors and teambuilding facilities all over Malaysia. He believes that training must be practical and active so that immediate results following the training sessions are evident and effective. Training must be participant friendly and stimulating while consultancy must be delivered in total commitment, discipline and results oriented approach.
