ISO 9001:2015 Supplier Audit is an international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). For a manufacturing company, auditing suppliers according to ISO 9001:2015 ensures they meet specific criteria regarding quality, process control, risk management, and customer satisfaction.

By the end of the 2-day training, participants will be able to:

  • Identifying and raising nonconformance reports and audit observations

Day 1 - ISO 9001:2015 Supplier Audit requirements

  1. Quality Management System explanation and implementation.
  2. Introduction to supplier audits
  3. Importance of supplier audits in ensuring quality and compliance
  4. Overview of different types of supplier audits
  5. Understanding Supplier’s weaknesses
  6. Planning and preparation for supplier audits
  7. Developing audit checklists and criteria
  8. Conducting risk assessments for supplier audits

Day 2 - How to plan and conduct a Supplier’s Audit.

  1. How to conduct a Supplier’s Audit - Auditing process
  2. Qualities/requirements of an Auditor
  3. Opening meeting / agenda and protocol
  4. Performing supplier audits: conducting interviews, reviewing documentation,and site inspections
  5. Evaluating audit findings and documenting results
  6. Communicating audit findings to suppliers
  7. Report Audit findings.
  8. How to raise NCR’s and observations.
  9. Closing meeting and follow up on NCR’s closing

We will use slides, slide shows, video clips and case studies using actual auditing experience to ensure all participants understands and are able to understand and effectively conduct an Internal Audit following Version 2015

CORPORATE EXPERIENCE
Before transitioning full-time into training and consultancy, Dr. Duglas served as Regional Quality Control Manager for a leading European investment group. In this role, he conducted quality control audits for companies targeted for acquisition or investment worldwide, while spearheading re-engineering and restructuring initiatives to enhance product and process reliability across global operations.

From 2007 to 2013, Dr. Duglas worked with an international headhunting firm, travelling extensively across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and North America — including Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Dubai, India, Sri Lanka, Canada, Germany, France, and Switzerland — adapting to diverse business cultures and environments.

Prior to his global consultancy career, Dr. Duglas spent 23 years with Panasonic Malaysia, progressing to the role of Quality Control Manager. His tenure established his solid foundation in quality operations, leadership, and continuous improvement practices.
