The Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program is a comprehensive training designed to equip individuals with the skills to recognize early signs of mental health issues, provide initial support, and guide a person experiencing mental health challenges toward appropriate help. This evidence-based course empowers participants to respond confidently and effectively in situations where mental health assistance is needed, whether in the workplace, community, or personal life.
The project is aimed at capacity building working adults in standard mental health first aid. Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown by research, to be effective.

Ms. Mala Davi has a wealth of experience and expertise in the Montessori curriculum and early childhood education.
Ms. Mala has trained, coached, and mentored adults and children in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Thailand, for the last 45 years in the corporate and educational environment. She also designed and delivered the Montessori Method of Education Diploma from Modern Montessori International London, at their franchise centre in Bangkok. She also had working experience in the corporate environment with Mattel (KL) Sdn Bhd, Nestle, EXXON Mobil and German Development service.
She possesses significant experience in personal interactions with individuals from a variety of different professional backgrounds and cultures. She has provided training for participants in Thailand in association with the Ministry of Social Welfare in collaboration with an International NGO - The Lotus Flower Foundation. Her current emphasis and advocacy for “Early Intervention” has blossomed from her participation in the above project.
Her work in developing Montessori programs and providing training to educators for early intervention, psychological awareness and management. It\\\'s also notable that she has been able to successfully restructure and remodel pre-schools, indicating a strong understanding of how to create effective learning environments for young children.
Ms. Mala Davi N Thanjappan has had a very successful career in early childhood education and mental health advocacy, and her contributions have had a positive impact on many children, families, and educators.
Currently, she advocates for early intervention in mental illness and creating awareness through videos in ASTRO, MMHA, MIASA and has been interviewed by the press as she is a committee member and one of the trainers for Malaysian and Selangor Mental Health Association.
She has successfully completed a Mental Health first aid certification from Melbourne and has attended various mental health activities in this field in Australia and the USA.
As a result, she initiated MDC Training and Management that educates those working in their role as educators, corporate leaders, staff and even policy makers.
MDC was awarded the HRDCorp, Penjana, by the Ministry of Human Resources, is an Upskilling programme to train and upskill participants in 2021 for B40 underprivileged community. MDC conducted the Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Development and Aged Care and Disabilities.
