Description

This two-day practical and interactive programme is designed to develop a stronger sense of ownership, accountability, initiative and proactive thinking among employees across the ECO Group of Companies. Participants will learn how to move beyond a task-based employee mindset and begin thinking more like owners who understand the impact of their actions on customers, colleagues, operational performance and the overall success of the organisation. Through discussions, simulations and customised ECO workplace case studies, participants will practise taking initiative, solving problems, making responsible decisions, communicating concerns, escalating issues appropriately, following through on commitments and closing the loop. The programme aims to create employees who do not merely wait for instructions, but actively identify what needs to be done, take responsible action and contribute towards continuous improvement.

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Differentiate between an employee mindset and an owner mindset.
  • Understand the difference between responsibility, accountability and ownership.
  • Recognise how individual behaviour affects departmental and organisational performance.
  • Demonstrate greater initiative without overstepping authority or organisational procedures.
  • Identify workplace issues early and take appropriate preventive action.
  • Apply practical problem-solving and decision-making techniques.
  • Communicate challenges, delays and concerns clearly and professionally.
  • Escalate workplace issues to the appropriate person at the appropriate time.
  • Follow through on assignments, commitments and agreed actions.
  • Close communication and operational loops to prevent misunderstandings and repeated problems.
  • Collaborate more effectively across departments and organisational levels.
  • Develop a personal action plan for demonstrating ownership and accountability at ECO Group.
